Summer is finally on the horizon and I have a few trips coming up! I’ve finished 2 semesters of grad school and while I still have classes this summer, I do have a bit of time to do some traveling. Here’s what’s up next for me – let me know if you have any tips or will be in the same city!
South of France – Nice, Cannes and Monaco
I actually just got back from this trip – and I can’t wait to go again. More will be posted on the blog, but I had a whirlwind experience with my family. My only regrets are that I couldn’t stay longer and that we never made it to St. Tropez. Currently plotting on how I’ll get the money to make this trip again!
Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
I’m taking advantage of my home base in France and heading to Luxembourg for a day trip! Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in Europe and Luxembourg City can be seen in a day. I’m hopping on the TGV with a friend and I’m excited to see what the city is like! Any tips for me?
US of A! New York, DC, Los Angeles and Oakland
I’m veryyyy excited about this trip! I’ll be back in the States to see family and friends for nearly a month. I plan on hopscotching around the country but the high airfares for summer travel may keep me grounded. I know that I’ll at least be back in DC (and hopefully checking out the Smithsonian’s African-American Museum) and New York City for an extended period.
I’ve never been to Tulum and I’m pretty excited about it! I’ve been to Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, so this is my chance to explore a bit more of Mexico. I’ll be celebrating my friend’s birthday while hanging poolside, stuffing myself silly with tacos (I miss good tacos so much in Paris!) and checking out ruins. Have you been? Any suggestions for places I should check out?
Playa del Carmen, Mexico
My last stop before heading back to the City of Light will be Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I first visited a few years ago and loved the laid back vibe and fun nightlife scene. I’ll be returning with a few of my friends from Up in the Air Life, an upscale travel company that I work with. If you haven’t been to Playa, check it out – it’s close to Cancun but VERY different.
Follow me on Instagram to see pictures from my travels. Where are YOU headed this summer? Any tips for the places I’m going? Let me know in the comments!
