Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all my readers! If you couldn’t tell, I’m not Irish (shocker!) but I figured I could take this holiday to post a few pictures from my Dublin visit in January.
I don’t have many great photos of Dublin, as we only had 12 hours there and it was rainy and EXTREMELY cold the entire time we were there. We started off our trip with a traditional Irish Breakfast at Bewley’s Cafe. Even though we weren’t huge fans of the breakfast, the price was right and we were determined to try new things. In case you’re wondering, the irish breakfast was potato farl, grilled bacon, sausage, a tomato, pudding, mushroom, poached egg, relish and two slices of toast, served with tea and orange juice – all for under 10 euros!
We rode the hop on/hop off bus to get acquainted with the city in the short amount of time we had. Although the hop on/hop off bus needs to REALLY work on it’s heating system, we enjoyed our overview of all the sights in Dublin and going through different neighborhoods. We spent time at the Guinness factory, even though we’re not big fans of beer. It got us out of the cold though! Dublin is definitely a cute city – I’d like to go back in the summer and check it out a bit more.
Enjoy St. Patty’s Day!
